Getting from one place to another is very important and utilizing travel is another. Air travel is the best way to get around nowadays.
For the second year in a row, Orlando International Airport has topped all Florida airports for the volume of passengers going in and out. According to the Airport Councils International trade group, last year they handled 47.7 million passengers and ranked as the 10th-busiest in the nation. Orlando's growth over the previous year is roughly 7.2%.
In the number of landings and takeoffs of private, commercial and military places, Orlando has been ranked 22nd with 356,000.
In 2017, Orlando's airport had a $41.1 billion impact and supported 343,576 jobs. OIA had the most prominent economic clout and employed the most workers among 129 public airports in Florida, according to the state Department of Transportation's aviation-impact study for 2019.
